ISABELLA & PONTUS

 

Isabella Gregorio is a renowned international dancer. She teaches and performs all over the world, dazzling students and publics of all ages. Isabella is often considered one of the top three followers in the world, and
is known for her crazy style and her showmanship. Her professional career started in Italy in 2002, soon winning prizes in several international competitions and beginning to teach all over the world with Vincenzo Fesi. Isabella has mastered different dance styles since she was a child. She has been in show business for many years as a singer and dancer.
Pontus Persson has been dancing since the age of 5, competing since the age of 6, and teaching since the age of 16. After graduating, he moved to Stockholm to develop his dancing skills further, and was invited to
join the Shots Harlem Hot dance company. Ever since then, Pontus has focused full time on spreading the Swing dance through shows and competitions, as well as teaching. He has worked for television, theatres
and international events all over the world. His teaching “is centred on the practice of body movement to achieve the magic of fun”. Knowledge and performance are the key words for his dance and his teaching.
Isabella and Pontus have started dancing together in 2011. In this short period, they have conquered a worldwide audience and won several international competitions.

SHARON DAVIS

Sharon Davis is a professional dancer, specialising in Lindy Hop, Charleston, Burlesque and other authentic dances from the 1920s, 30s and 40s.  Originally from Australia, Sharon is now based in London, and travels the world throughout the year performing and teaching her dance. She holds numerous 1st place titles at the most prestigious championships around the world, including the International Lindy Hop Championships, Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown, National Jitterbug Championships, Canadian Swing Championships and the Burlesque Hall of Fame. She has choreographed for stage shows, short film and music videos on four continents. She is the Director of the European Swing Dance Championships.

Sharon’s dance school in London is called The Jazz Music And Dance Co. (affectionately known as JazzMAD). You can find out more about it at www.jazzmad.co.uk

As Bonnie Fox, the international queen of burlesque, she is in demand to perform at festivals, burlesque revues and cabarets around the world. She has captivated audiences internationally with her elegant feather fan dances, glamorous stripteases, riotous 1920s flapper dances, stylish jitterbug routines and sassy showgirl antics. At the 2013 World Burlesque Games she won the coveted International Crown. At the 2014 Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas she won “Most Dazzling” and “Best Debut.” She has appeared in publications around the world, including advertising campaigns for Coca Cola and Virgin Atlantic.

GAS FERNANDEZ

Gastón “Gas” Fernández is a professional dancer and dance instructor, based in Madrid, Spain. He specializes in vintage dance styles including Lindy Hop, Charleston, authentic jazz, Balboa, Blues and Tango. As a former gymnast he is known in the swing dance community for his powerful acrobatics and aerials, while his background in Tango gives his blues style drama and strength, grounded in a sensitive connection with his partner. Gastón’s passion for swing has taken him around the world, teaching from New york to Melbourne, he has taught in some of the best swing and blues camps in the world, like Herrang, Snowball, MSF, Lindy shock, Smokey feet, Berlin Blues Explosion, Nocturne Blues, and many more. Gastón is devoted to promoting and fostering swing dance and culture in Argentina, Latin America and Spain.
He has directed two stage productions featuring live jazz and vintage dance in Buenos Aires: Swing Argentino with the Cuerdas del Sur band, and La Batalla: Swing en el Konex with the Antigua Jazz Band. He also runs South America’s first and largest annual swing dance festival, LHAIF (Lindy Hop Argentina International Festival) each year in Buenos Aires and the first Blues event in South America, “Careless weekend”. He has also been a major proponent of Blues dance in Buenos Aires and is now is teaching Blues internationally. With intense partner connection, Gas fuses Blues with Tango technique, though always striving to stay grounded in the essence of the Blues. Gastón is also an avid jazz music collector and a popular DJ. He has DJ’d for swing and blues dancers around the world.

ENRICO & CHIARA

Enrico Conti

Dancer and Professional Teacher. His passion for Jazz Dances begins at the age of 8 listening to the first songs by Elvis Presley Little Richard and Frank Sinatra. At the age of 12 his first national competition for Boogie Woogie and Rock’n’Roll. From 2007 to 2015 he works for the Summer Jamboree Festival of Senigallia carrying on all the courses of Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop, Jive, Balboa, Charleston and Tap Dance, official Deejay and Art direction of the SJ Dance Camp during the Summer period and in the meantime his studies in Jazz Dance in Italy, Europe and the USA at the Dance Manhattan in New York. He has participated in the biggest world-famous festivals such as Dancer Performer, Teacher & Deejay. He has 10 years of National competitions and 12 Italian titles behind him. Enrico Conti also known as DJ ENRY Sold Out is a researcher and music lover especially for dancers. Enrico is a lover of the well-known Swing, Rhythm and Blues blues and Pre Rock and Roll of the period from 1940 to 1950. His listening is recommended!

Chiara Lijoi

She began her career as a dancer at the age of 7, encouraged by her parents who wanted her to do sport. From the beginning she started studying Rock ‘n Roll and Boogie Woogie, which soon became a real passion. Her journey is made of travels and transfers in Italy and abroad. Her first race was disputed in 2001, it was a regional championship. She soon managed to reach the most important international competitions: in 2004 in Hungary she won the world championship of swing in the Junior category and in 2005 the European championship in Switzerland. Later she met Marco Larosa and Sonia Salsedo and thanks to their teachings reached new goals: in 2009 she arrived 5th at the European championship of Jitterbug, in 2010 she ranked 5 at the world cup of Boogie Woogie in Rimini and in 2011 she was 5 at the world cup of Winterthur. In 2015 she met Enrico Conti and together they began a new path that today sees them stand out among the best pairs of swing dances to represent Italy abroad.

LEVEL DESCRIPTION: 

BEGINNERS – You’ve been dancing for a few months, you know the basic steps of 8 and 6 times and you’re excited about the idea of learning new things. Whether you’ve never attended an international workshop, or attended a couple of events, this is your level.

 INTERMEDIATE – Dance for over a year, attending classes and evenings, you have already taken part in events and workshops. You have good bases and you have begun to focus on your movements and work on your weaknesses. You would like to consolidate the technique and find your personal style, to be able to express yourself at best. You would like to improve musicality, footwork and connection with your partner. 
ADVANCED – Dance for more than two years, attend regular classes, workshops, evenings. You move to attend national and / or international events. You know the structure of music and you can interpret it. Learn quickly, you have a fair awareness of your body and try to work on the quality of the movement.

Participants need to fill in and submit the form on this page, and pay through a bank deposit, whitin 7 DAYS of completing the registration form, made to A.S.D. HAPPY FEET specifying NAME and SURNAME of the participants in the purpose of the payment. Your registration will only be considered valid upon receipt of your payment whitin 7 days of completing the registration form.
